Another good week for Debbie. Her condition continues to slowly improve. We are so thankful and blessed. And therapy is still going well.
Both Debbie's sons, two of her grandchildren and her parents visited this week also to make her week better. She enjoys her family and friends so much!
Debbie has enjoyed the outdoors some during the unusually beautiful warm weather we had for a couple of days and she had her hair styled this morning which made her look and feel great. Seems like the more active she is the better she is.
Friday, March 2nd, Debbie will have a CT scan and visit her neurosurgeon in Cookeville to confirm that the shunt implant is working properly and that no changes are evident.
We wish you a blessed week and once again, we thank you so much for your prayers and every kindness shown. We love every one of you!

Update on Debbie.....Sat., February 18, 2012.....by Charlie
Another good week for Debbie with lots of therapy. She and I enjoyed church services Sunday and a good week followed.
Deb and I traveled to Cookeville Friday where we visited NHC and she saw several of her nurses and therapists and other friends. She really enjoyed the visit, especially the nice tilapia lunch, and they were amazed at her improvement since she was discharged in December. We also had Deb's glasses adjusted and saw her neurologist with a good report. A visit to the neurosurgeon and ct scan is scheduled for the 2nd of March. You can see Deb's increased strength on outings like this. She made the trip just fine.
Thanks again for all your prayers and we praise our Lord for this miracle. We wish each of you a blessed week.

Update on Debbie......Sat., Feb. 11, 2012.....by Charlie
Debbie has had a good week and is enjoying looking out over the snow-covered scenery this morning. We've only had about an inch but it is beautiful.
Deb has had lots of therapy this week and done well. She has been to church and went out to lunch a couple of times this week and enjoyed her outings.
Thanks so much for all the visits, calls, cards and food provided for us this week, but especially the continued prayers. You can never know how much your expressions of Christian love mean to us. God bless each of you. We love you!

Update on Debbie.....Sat., February 4, 2011.....by Charlie
It has been eight months today since that Saturday, June 4,2011 when Debbie had the aneurysm. What a journey and what a miracle!
Debbie has had a good first week at home with lots of home therapy and visits from family and friends and we are both rested and recovered from our stay in Atlanta. Deb's visit to Shepherd Center helped her but was very tiring for the both of us and we have really enjoyed being home.
Thanks to many of you wonderful chefs and cooks, we have eaten well this week also and Debbie has been spared some of my cooking.
Debbie has two sessions each from physical, occupational and speech therapy and two visits from a nurse weekly along with one visit from a hygiene therapist. She enjoys most of it and is doing well. Buffy, one of the physical therapists, said Deb had improved so much in the month since she had seen her, it "made her day".
Yesterday (Friday) we had lunch at The Nineteenth Hole, one of our local restaurants here in Lake Tansi, and later Debbie had a salon appointment for coloring, trimming and styling. She looks wonderful and really enjoyed it and many of her friends greeted her at the restaurant.
Our Lord continues to bless us and we praise Him for Debbie's continued healing and wonderful family and friends like you. Thank you again for all you do and especially your continued prayers.
