Update on Debbie...June 30, 2012......by Charlie

Debbie has had another good week with a visit to her primary care physician on Monday and somewhat positive therapy sessions. We've made several trips to various stores and restaurants this week and she enjoys being active and meeting friends while away from home. Deb also sang with the choir last Sunday night. What a blessing to see her there. Her Saturday was busy with occupational therapy at 8:30, salon visit at 9:45 and her parents visited and were with her all afternoon which she certainly enjoyed. Although memory and paralysis conditions are still evident, I only have to compare June of 2011 with this June to know how our Lord has blessed us with Debbie's recovery progress. We continue to praise Him for His love and mercy and pray for continued healing. We wish you all a blessed Fourth of July.

Debbie's Update.......June 23, 2012.....by Charlie

A good week for Debbie with a visit from her mom and dad on Thursday and a ct scan and visit to her neurosurgeon at Cookeville on Friday. Dr Cruz saw what could be a problem on the scan and scheduled another ct and visit in six weeks. He was, however, very impressed with Deb's improvements and made the comment "you do not look or act like the same person I first saw last October". Please keep Debbie in your prayers that nothing changes before the next ct so no further corrections will be necessary. We continue to praise the Lord for all He has and is doing and we pray that each of you has a blessed week.

Update on Debbie....June 16, 2012......by Charlie

It has been a good week for Debbie starting with a safe trip home from Charleston. We spent the night in Newport,TN and arrived home Sunday around noon. What a great week it was with family and renewing friendships with those we met last year. After an afternoon's rest, Debbie made it to church that night. Deb's therapies have gone well this week and add a little fishing, boating, and just relaxing around the house, it has been another week of progress. Off to the salon today and her week is complete. Update on Debbie......June 8, 2012.....by Charlie

I'm sending a brief update this week on Friday as we will be traveling Saturday. It's been a great week in Charleston with family and friends and Debbie made the trip well. Tuesday, Deb had an appointment with Dr Chauntry, the MUSC neurosurgeon who performed the surgery one year ago. He prescribed an MRA imaging test which she underwent this morning with great results. Our God is great! Deb also visited the nurses and doctors on the ninth floor of MUSC where she was a patient for 100 days last year. They were all amazed (lots of smiles, tears, hugs and praises) and it was unanimous that Debbie had made their day. With these wonderful reports, family, friends, sun, the beach, and good food, how many more blessings could we ask for? We'll be traveling back toward Tennessee tomorrow and look forward to seeing many of you there. Thanks again for your prayers and support. We love you!

Debbie's Update.....June 2, 2012.....by Charlie

Debbie has had a good week. The one year anniversary of her injury is only two days away and it is truly remarkable as to how far she has come. How our Lord has blessed us! We leave today for a family trip back to Charleston and pray she has a comfortable journey and good week this time. She is to see Dr. Chauntry,her surgeon, this week at MUSC and will meet many of the other nurses and doctors who cared for her. Deb does not remember any of them but they certainly know her and are looking forward to seeing her. She may not remember meeting them the next day but will enjoy the moment. Again, she has had a good week and I will update you after our trip. Thank you for your prayers and thoughts for her continued healing and safe trip.
